วันนี้เอาอีกหนึ่งตัวอย่างงานเขียน Band 7.5+ ที่ผู้สอนเขียนขึ้นเพื่อใช้สอนคอร์ส The IELTS Blueprint 7.0+ มาฝากแฟนเพจเเละนักเรียนท่านอื่นๆ ครับ ซึ่งในครั้งนี้เราจะใช้โจทย์ Task 2 ของ Test 4 Cambridge เล่ม 7

การที่เราได้เห็นตัวอย่างงานเขียนที่ดีว่าเป็นอย่างไร มีความสำคัญในการที่เราจะทำคะแนนให้ได้สูงๆ
ซึ่งงานเขียนที่เอามาให้ดูนั้นตอบโจทย์ทั้งเรื่องภาษาเเละเนื้อหาได้อย่างค่อนข้างสมบูรณ์แบบ

โจทย์
Some people think that universities should provide graduates with the knowledge and skills needed in the workplace. Others think that the true function of a university should be to give access to knowledge for its own sake, regardless of whether the course is useful to an employer.

What, in your opinion, should be the function of a university?

ตัวอย่างคำตอบ Band 7.5+

People have different views as to whether universities should prepare graduates for their future career. Despite the fact there are some benefits of focusing on job-related skills and knowledge, I believe that universities should allow graduates to study for the sake of knowledge.

On the one hand, there are many reasons why we should support the idea of students graduating with a set of practical skills. Firstly, it is a fact that in order for any society to progress quickly, a highly skilled labour force with the ability to solve complex problems and innovate are much needed. Secondly, this can help solve the increasing unemployment rate as some specific careers are already oversupplied in the labour market which leads to many jobless workers after graduation. Finally, a high number of some specialists such as scientists or technologists will allow countries to progress at a much faster rate. By doing so, this will improve the society as a whole.

On the other hand, there are several reasons to believe that students should be allowed to enroll in the courses they want. The first factor is that they have the right to define their own future and the government has no right to take this from them. Another reason is that studying what they love will enhance their performance since they do it with their hearts. It is useless to force students to study subjects that others value but they themselves have no interest in. Furthermore, it can also be of a great benefit to the society in different ways. For example, art and music could be used to help people relax for both ordinary and medical purposes.

In conclusion, although taking only useful courses could stand students in a good stead, I am convinced that they should be able to choose the areas of study by themselves.
