วันนี้เอาอีกหนึ่งตัวอย่างงานเขียน Band 7.5+ ที่ผู้สอนเขียนขึ้นเพื่อใช้สอนคอร์ส The IELTS Blueprint 7.0+ มาฝากแฟนเพจเเละนักเรียนท่านอื่นๆ ครับ ซึ่งในครั้งนี้เราจะใช้โจทย์ Task 2 หัวข้อ COVD-19 ครับ

โจทย์
Some people believe that it is valuable for society to experiment with bacteria and viruses while others feel this is dangerous and should not be done.

Discuss both views and give your own opinion.

ตัวอย่างคำตอบ Band 7.5+
People have different views as to whether it would be beneficial to conduct experiments on bacteria and viruses. In my opinion, although there are several drawbacks of experimenting with these germs, I firmly believe that it brings about much more benefits.

There are three main reasons why it is harmful to work with infectious agents. One major reason is that these bacteria and viruses could mutate, and it would be much harder to deal with mutated bacteria and viruses. There are also many unknown and uncontrollable factors in experiments with germs, and this could put the lives of scientists and researchers in danger. The knowledge on this subject could be a double-edged sword as it could be used to produce biological weapons to kill a large number of people. For instance, the German army used both biochemical and chemical weapons during the First World War to kill their enemies.

However, there are many advantages of exploring on these living organisms. Firstly, this could lead to a thorough understanding of germs which will eventually result in more effective vaccines, antibiotics and treatments. Secondly, it could help humans keep up with the evolution of viruses and bacteria because these organisms have been able to adapt very quickly to the changing environment. Finally, there is no better and more efficient way for scientists and researchers to tackle bacteria and viruses than to understand the structure and create a vaccine. A good example of this could be the fact that scientists all over the world are required to experiment with viruses to come up with COVID-19 vaccine and treatment in order to keep death tolls from rising.

In conclusion, it seems to me that the advantages of exploring the germs far outweigh the disadvantages.
